Reach Your Limits.

If you ask me to give you an idea of what to do over the summer or what would be a nice and fun hobby to follow I will tell you hey buy a RC car and relive moments of your childhood but in a more extreme way. This hobby for me has been an excellent experience and I don't think I’m ever going to let it go or stop doing it, as long as i have the money and the passion to do it I will do it. I have learned a lot of things over the past year. I have a HPI Baja 5b which is a buggy RC car with a small 2 stroke engine which is a 23cc fuelie. This little machine can go up to speeds of 55mph. The vehicle itself is about 60 pounds and for that weight it’s pretty fast.
There are a lot of upgrades you can do to this car. Tons of new parts keep coming out every 2-3 months online. The parts can be very expensive but it will make a huge difference in your cars performance. For example changing just the exhaust would improve the power in your car. I wanted to buy a new exhaust muffler for my car but it was like $210 which was pretty expensive since I don’t work full time and my parents won’t give me the money. As time passes your pocket won’t hurt you knowing that you’re spending little by little. Later in time you're RC car would probably be worth twice the amount you originally paid for.
People that are really into this hobby would do drag racing with their cars that are tuned up to the fully extended. It’s a ¼ mile race that cars can reach up to 70 mph. This event takes place in Floyd Park in Brooklyn. People bet money on who would win. Others would bet there cars on the line to see who has a faster machine than the other one. That’s why the hobby gets fun and it would never end because of people like that which keep it alive and play with these RC cars. The park has enough space to race. I think it’s very legal because a lot of people come with their RC cars to play and race. It’s very official how they set it up; it looks pretty real on how they set it up with the start lights and the checker flag on the floor at the end of the road.
To make it more interested there has been more different RC models that work in the same concept but have different bodies and it’s built to run on some places only. Like a nice RC car I would want is a GT which is a small Ford that has a bigger engine and better upgrades than a regular Baja 5b would have. This means it can be faster and stability wise very reliable. I will recommend if you’re going to start this hobby to start from low with a small car like means with a 23cc engine which is not powerful and can make a day very fun.  I bought mines for 500 dollars online (eBay). Then from there just start it up but don’t accelerate to much when using it because you can mess up the engine because it’s brand new so you want to ease up on the gas. I would let the engine run for a few minutes like 10-20 minutes so the engine gets lubricated and warmed up before putting it to use. Then after that you can play all day long without any problem.
I encourage the fans that look at the RC cars that you should get your own and go and show off on the park that you aren’t just an expatiator at the park looking at them. It’s a fun activity you can do with your kids and teach them how one of these machine work because later on life you can make a living fixing these for customers. FYI there’s a lot of stores out there that have parts for these cars, and also are willing to explain you how the stuff on it work.
For my conclusion I would like to say that in my opinion this epic adventure going throw difficulties not knowing how this RC car works has been able to teach me some big boy things. I promise you that as soon as you get used to playing and knowing what’s going on with what you’re doing you won’t be lost in any moment.
CHEERS AND HAVE FUN WITH YOUR CHILDHOOD! =)

Baja Mania

If you have a RC car from HPI that is a Baja 5b or 5t (5t is the truck form) anyways Baja mania is held every year and its a time when everyone gets together to show off there RC car and you can see at least 100 different r c cars that would make you say wow what a beautiful machine. Its almost the some thing as a tuning show where you can go around and watch all these RC cars tuned up with nice upgrades and exclusive parts. i would go but i wouldnt take my car because it wouldnt be compared to none of them there. People invest so much money on them that the prices on the cars can range from 1000 to 2000.

Nitro RC

Nitro RC cars are different from Gasoline RC buggy. the car that i have is a  stroke gasoline buggy which means that it runs on a mix of two stroke oil and gasoline. the engine is way different from a nitro RC car. a nitro RC car uses a different type of fuel. nitro engine generally refers to an engine powered with a fuel that contains some portion (usually between 10% and 40%) of nitromethane mixed with methanol. Nitromethane is highly combustible substance that is generally only used in very specifically designed engines. These little beasts can go up to 100 mph in just a few second but the hard part is keeping up with the maintenance. Its very hard to have a car like this if you don't know how to take care of it.  The two stroke engine its very reliable and can be taken care of better than a RC nitro car. that's why i have a 2 stroke.

RC Planet is a store on the internet that has many different parts for your RC cars. its very cheap and you get to save a bunch of money. Personally i shop a lot there when i need something for my car. Its a very reliable site to shop from. i will highly recommend you if you want to buy your parts there. they also sell other parts or other Cars, boats, airplanes, and even helicopters. Its very simple to shop and economical. they have prices that fit your budget. you have tons of choices and several different brands not just one. RC CARS MODIFICATIONS

TO BE ABLE TO SHOW OFF YOUR RC CAR YOU ARE GOING TO HAVE TO MODIFY IT AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. MAKE IT SPOTLESS AND VERY FAST. I'M IN THE PROCESS OF MODIFYING MY RC CAR BY PUTTING EXTRA PARTS TO IT LIKE NEW BRAKES, SPOILER, SPARK PLUG, WHEELS, TIRES, AND MAYBE HEADLIGHTS. YOU ARE GOING TO BE WASTING A LOT OF MONEY I CAN ASSURE YOU THAT 100%. BUT IF YOU BUY THE PARTS LITTLE BY LITTLE IT WONT HURT YOUR WALLET. THAT'S WHAT MOST PEOPLE DO THAT ARE INTO THIS HOBBY. I REALLY ENJOY THIS HOBBY BECAUSE YOU LEARN AND GET A LOT OUT OF THIS.

Amusement Parks

Roller coasters are arguably the most exciting experience you can ever encounter  at an amusement park. Six flags has amazing rides that can get your adrenalin high, makes your stomach tingle like a shot star. In my experience in participating in these roller coasters, I have manage to say that my favorite ride and most extreme experience was with kingda ka. This ride can go up  to 128mph in just 3 seconds. Now imagine yourself on that roller coaster. I doubt you will ever forget that high speed moment. I urge you to go to six flags ASAP and get on kingda ka. You will not be disappointed.

RC cars

Using RC cars can be very cool and fun. Living a child live playing with a little RC (radio control) buggy car that runs on gasoline can be so much fun. This hobby can be very fun if you take the time to do it. I love playing with these cars, everyone watches you as you race around the park at full throttle. The point of the hobby is to buy an RC car and upgrade the parts to make it as detail and fast as possible. this can be very expensive but at the same time you learn a lot from it. i have a 23cc engine king motor buggy which is a really small engine but doesn't go too fast, other people have bigger engines like 26cc 28cc 32cc etc. the bigger the engine the heavier the car and the faster it gets. i love doing this when i have time. when you crash the car and rebuilding it again with new parts can be very exciting.   <------ my car looks similar to this one. A one of these babies can cost you from 500 to 1800 dollars. since i don't have the amount of money to fix it up, so what i do is save money and when i have enough i buy parts to upgrade it.  this is a fun and exciting hobby. i encourage you to follow this if you don't have a hobby.
